Strange lump on my armpit

So for the last 4-5 days Ive had this lump,it hurts especially in the morning and when i touch it :confused: I was thinking it can be a cyst...but my brother said to check it out immediately,he had a cyst on his head...but no pain whatsoever.This is pretty strange...ugh,what can it be?

I posted with a similiar problem about 5 months ago.

Started with a lump under my left armpit. It was initially small and hard, then progressively got worse. I went to the ER about it and they prescribed antibiotics that didnt work, of the antibiotics prescribed for my condition were: Cephalexin (500mg), Doxycycl Hyc (100mg), and levaquin 500 mg. I was also to keep a heat pad under my arm for 20 minute intervals 3 times a day.

None of the medications worked. Eventually the swelling got very large, and I had a large collection of fluid underneath my armpit. I couldnt sleep at night, and had shooting pains down my arm. Finally I went into the ER (for the 5th time) and one of the surgeons drew 17cc's of pus from the buldge. Then she lanced the area and found a couple more pockets of puss and drained all that she could. Then she stuffed some gauze in the lesion and gauzed me up. The gauze filled with puss every 4-5 hours and had to be replaced, for about a week and a half. I would have to go in to get the packing (the gauze they stick in the lesion) replaced every couple days.

It was a very taxing experience on both me and my family, and probably most of all besides myself, my girlfriend. I am better now, and only have a small scar from the incision.

My advise to you:
if this gets worse and you notice it, DO NOT LET DOCTORS PRESCRIBE YOU ANTIBIOTICS! Tell them it is too painful and you want it cut out immediately!!! If you dont have insurance, apply for some medi-caid of some kind, they should cover the surgery.

Its not cancer. IF it was cancerous you wouldnt feel it. Hopefully it will just go away, but if it doesnt, expect to get it lanced, and try and get that procedure, cause antibiotics didnt do jack shit for me, and now im struggling with all these fucking bills from doctors who misdiagnosed my illness with the wrong medications, probably only making my condition worse.

Thanks,but I do have a bad case of Fatigue along with this...did you have it too?

If you had not been experiencing pain in conjunction with this I was thinking it might be just a skin tag. Can you describe what it looks like? Is is elongated like a polyp?

I cant remember if I was fatigued or not, though I would probably lean towards yes. Just keep an eye on it; if it gets bigger you should have a pretty good idea what it is going to turn out likfe.

weird. I just got three of these in my left armpit last week.

Two weeks ago, I used some mitchum (cause my favorite vegetable is a corndog), which is an antipersperent. I dont know much about deodorant, but I thought antipersperants used alum to constrict your pores or some shit like that.

At first I figured it was just a zit or an ingrown hair, then they got a little bigger and I spent the next two days fucking with them, trying to squeeze them. Then woke up one morning and they each felt like a marble underneath my skin and really started hurting.... so I took a knife and cut one of them and about two tablespoons of blood and puss spilled out, then I squeezed out about another tablespoon.

So, I cut the rest with the same results and they instantly felt better and healed up pretty quick.

so... anyone who has had these, or is having these lumps, tell me what kind of deodorant you use. Note to hippies: the crystal doesnt count.

men and women get cysts under the arm pit - i myself have had several - i believe it is my deodorant that gives them to me. they come and go. Its in y family (mom, grand mom aunts etc)

If you have pain, you should see a Dr. - they can tell you what is is.
FYI - cancer rarely hurts.
