SUMMER RECAP

so what did you do this summer? did you have an entertaining and productive time or did you sit on your ass and do nothing? This summer was the crappiest and most un-productive time Ive ever spent on this earth. I had a seizure at the beginning of the summer and since then i did absolutely NOTHING. it seems like it took all the energy and motivation out of me. I felt completely disconnected from everyone, and ended up staying inside the past few months.Not being able to drive didn't help either. It was a very difficult time for me. the only time i felt OK was when i was medicated, but i don't want to be that way.it seemed like the only way to escape and feel normal. well this was my summer... i hope yours was better.

Me on the other hand i spent 6 weeks at a canner just w33333rkin. Thats been about it pretty much ha.

My summer was ok,only thing that was sucky was in the female department.Never fuck around with your roomates :mad2: That was the lesson I learned this summer...fuckin whores!

Looking back I actually did alot this summer other then work my ass off.

I managed to:
Go to Bonnaroo
Drive to Panama City to just fuck around for a week
Went camping 3 times (I plan to go a few more times at least)
Went to a bunch of good parties
danced my ass off at WEMF
went to several beaches
hit up a few jays games
did lots of patio drinking
went to the CNE
Beerfest!
mini road trips
lots of reading and lazing around

well my summer was DOPE! i had no idea i would get back into skateboarding again this summer but i really did, been skating almost everyday now. i used to skate everyday from sun up to sun down when i was in my 1st two years in middle school then the friend that i skated with all the time moved to i basically just stopped.

then this summer one of my friends got back into skating and he'd always tell me to come with him to the park and stuff but i never would. then the first time i went with him was hella fun and been goin eversince. i just started up again maybe a month and a half ago and i've already learned dozens of new trics. i think this is because over my years of playing ball so much, that strengthened my legs alot so now its easier for me to manipulate the board now in general.

i used to only be able to kickflip and heelflip(all switch nollie and fakie) varial flip and nollie varial. now i've trhown 180's into the mix along with other cool stuff.

now i can fronside and backside 180 flip, can do both fakie also, half cab heel 180 backside heel, fronside cabalero, 360 flip, and two days ago i shit u not, i learned how to varial heelpflip. trick is hella hard and my legs are even sore as fuck right now from trying the trick so much, i think it has to do with using different parts of my muscles and builiding muscle memory. and the next flip trick i want to learn is def the hard flip.

as far as grinds, i learned how to nose and 5-0, noselide shuv(shuvit out), K grind shuv, frontside 180 to salad, fakie to nosegrind disaster, nose revert, and stuff like ollieing bigger gaps and stairsets.

i've also kept my ball on thats fa sho.

but mainly, i've been skating, hoopin, smoking substantial amounts of weed everyday, frying balls with friends, and getting fucked up.

this summers been tight

Went to Coachella and saw Rage Against the Machine, went to a Tool show, and went to two Clutch shows, San Diego and Phoenix.


I also went to Alaska for 3 weeks :smile:

june - mostly just worked, went camping a little bit, couch-surfed as i didn't want to pay rent

july - ratdog tour, all good, ratdog tour, 10klf, worked for a couple of days, went to kenya

august - traveled around in kenya for the month, came back late monday night. now work and move into a new apartment. end august with a free medeski scofield martin and wood show at the chicago jazz festival (this friday!)

summer is fun :sun:

Went into shock and passed out for the first time
Got T-Boned
Car died
Worked too much
Started growing mushrooms
Started my second psychedelic childhood as a result of the above
Tried E, OC, Xanex, LSA, and BromoDragonfly for the first time

Not too bad, was hoping to find some acid tho

i had a pretty good summer..

the shittiest part was that i basically was jobless all summer, so i didn't earn any real money for basically 3 months. However, I didn't go hungry or homeless..

i did get to hit up a couple of festivals and some good events in my spare time, too... though, i wish i had spent more time outdoors... i should have taken more advantage of the park right up the road...

1. worked long and good hours in the sun, sweating and learning
2. smoked a fair amount of weed
3. wrote a lot of song segments for our band to work on
4. went through some shitty times with my gf, things that are still going on now...
5. gained a better diet, and started exercising pretty regularly, going to try and carry it over to the winter.
