Dragon Fruits
    #7298655 - 08/15/07 07:35 PM (16 years, 7 months ago)

Does anyone have these cactis growing? Id like to see your pics. And how do the fruits taste? The fruits look like a kiwi inside but crazy lookin outside (For those that havent seen them). I just wanna see pictures of members dragon fruit plants, if anyone has any. Deciding whether I want to start growing different cacti or not..

the fruit is great...maybe you can find one in your local grocer t try out....i love the things! my 2nd favourite fruit.

grow just like mitch says, the more light the better...the warmer the better. high humidity is a plus as well. even if you decide you dont like growing these, they make good grafting stocks.

here is a night shot of them blooming (they are night bloomers)

all from cuttings and some random rotten fruits sprouted some seeds....so i dont know. dragon fruit likes to hang over things, fences make great support for them. when at fruiting age cut the tips to promote more flowers.
