I'll be going off to college/uni sometime soon and i want to make sure i have lots of Cd's downloaded encase i can't download music there.

I'm into rock metal and blues mostly but i listen to some electronic stuff like boards of Canada, shpongle.

What Cd's should i really get?

I'm generally just trying to expand my collection.

I'm surprised you don't have any Allman Bros. Band on there.  Classic Southern Rock and Blues.

Stevie Ray Vaughn is a must.

The Stones, Clapton, The Moody Blues, you're missing a lot of essentials.

Also, check out Porcupine Tree.  One of the only good progressive acts left these days (Dream Theatre would be so better with a different vocalist.).

Here's a few songs by them i'd reccomend.

Fear Of A Blank Planet
Anesthetize
Sentimental
Blackest Eyes
Sound Of Muzak
Arriving Somewhere But Not Here
Deadwing

They've also got an album called Voyage 34, which is completely different from the rest of their stuff.  It's an electronic album, chronicling a scientist's experiments with LSD.

Tool is another good one, of course.

Also, if you like Alice in Chains, download some stuff by Mad Season,  Temple Of The Dog, Mother Love Bone, and Soundgarden.  Pushing Forward Back by Temple Of The Dog is my favorite song by them.

Also, get some stuff by the Misfits.  That shit never gets old.  Danzig, too, of course.

Edit: Didn't even notice someone already reccomended Porcupine Tree.  It's all good, though. :bigjoint:

Get some more Boards of Canada (if you're going to use psychedelics), then some Biosphere and Dead Can Dance.
