I've always wanted to see Thom perform in a setting like this. I've seen some radiohead shows with similar setups. Anything he's involved with is pretty much just amazing.

I saw them August 3, 2001 at Molsen Park in Barrie ON.

It was definitely the best show I have been to! (a distant second is probably Big Sugar, one of the many times I've seen them)

The whole back of the stage was covered in florescent tubes, about 4 feet long each and all parallel with the ground. All the lights would blink on and off to the music, or show patterns on them. They went the whole show without playing my favorite tune at the time, Lucky...and then came out and played it during their first (of three!) encore.

Amazing!

DJ Kid Koala was there too, opening for Radiohead, and he's pretty cool!

That's awesome!!

Yea I live in NYC so amazing shows are constantly going on- I just could never afford the bigger acts.

Rocking out with binoculars- I might need to steal your method.

I'll probably be in the nosebleed section if and when it happens- which is weird, since I'm used to these tiny little venues where everyone is crowded near the stage and (ideally) going nuts. But I'm sure they're amazing live, no matter what the venue is like. The sound just better be tip top.

When I saw them, Steve Malkmus and the Jicks opened for them.. but I didn't catch that, cos we got there RIGHT before Radiohead took the stage.  I didn't particularly care, either.

When I saw them they played Creep right after Idioteque, and Thom says into the mic, "We like this song now.." and they rocked the FUCK out of it.  Very cool, I don't think they had played it in damn near a decade until that show.. and apparently they played it a few times on that tour.

I was hoping we'd get Talk Show Host, but alas, it wasn't in the cards.

Fuck radiohead and their hype campaign. I've been hearing "oh, the new radiohead album is coming out soon!" for two years.

But yeah, The Eraser is damn good.

Christ dude, you act like they have some kind of obligation to put out music. I'd much rather them take their time than be in a rush under a label's thumb.

btw, there's some guy at my work who's nickname is jray (abbrv of his name). I'll try to listen to some thom yorke at work tomorrow in case it's you! hah!

I'm not a huge radiohead fan either. I like 'em, but not they're not my top fave or anything. Thom's album though, it just clicks and grooves. It's also pretty psychedelic.

I was peaking on shrooms last summer while listening to this cd, and all I could do was dance in this weird fluid movement.

The song "Skip Divided" enhanced the feeling of, I guess, Reptilia would be an appropriate word.  It was like I was being charmed by this all-encompassing energy as scales appeared all over my skin.

Freaking awesome:grin:  Great album!

You should try tripping to Kid A by Radiohead.

Oh I've listened to radiohead while tripping and it's pretty solid. It's just not music I listen to a lot normally.

Here's another great song of his!

Thom Yorke - Harrowdown Hill

Don't walk the plank like I did
You will be dispensed with
When you've become inconvenient
In the harrowdown hill
Where you went to school
That's where I am
That's where I'm lying down

Did I fall or was I pushed?
Did I fall or was I pushed?
And where's the blood?
And where's the blood?

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
To make it all right
So dry your eyes

We think the same things at the same time
We just cant do anything about it
We think the same things at the same time
We just cant do anything about it

So don't ask me
Ask the ministry
Don't ask me
Ask the ministry

We think the same things at the same time
There are so many of us so you can't count
We think the same things at the same time
There are too many of us so you can't count

Can you see me when I'm running?
Can you see me when I'm running?
Away from them
Away from them

I can't take their pressure
No one cares if you live or die
They just want me gone
They want me gone

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
To make it all right
So dry your eyes

We think the same things at the same time
We just cant do anything about it

We think the same things at the same time
There are too many of us so you can't
There are too many of us so you can't count

It was a slippery slippery slippery slope
It was a slippery slippery slippery slope
I feel me slipping in and out of consciousness
I feel me slipping in and out of consciousness

This Mess We're In PJ Harvey and Thom Yorke [Re: trendal]
    #7277221 -

This Mess We're In Lyrics
Artist(Band):P.J. Harvey

( Thom Yorke )
Can you hear them
The helicopters
I'm in New York
No need for words now
We sit in silence
You look me
In the eye directly
You met me
I think it's Wednesday
The evening
The mess we're in
And ooooh...

( PJ Harvey )
The city sunset over me
The city sunset over me

( Thom Yorke )
Night and day
I dream of
Making love
To you now baby
Love making
On screen
Impossible dream
And I have seen
The sunrise over the river
The freeway
Reminding of
This mess we're in
And ooooh...

( PJ Harvey )
The city sunset over me
The city sunset over me

( PJ Harvey )
The city sunset over me
The city sunset over me

( PJ talking / Thom singing...together )
What were you wanting / What was that you wanted
I just wanna say
Don't ever change now baby
I'd thank you
I don't think we will meet again
And you must leave now
Before the sun rises
Over the skyscrapers
And the city landscape comes into view
Sweat on my skin
Oh
This mess we're in
Ooooh...

( PJ Harvey )
The city sunset over me
The city sunset over me
The city sunset over me
The city sunset over me

Kid A + Amnesiac + acid = mind blowing

I always loved Kid A the best, but that night Amnesiac somehow took the cake. Just...indescribable.
