It's like a horribly cheap imitation of every popular grunge singer ever, with a dash of James Hetfield, and TONS of water to dilute any hope of ever sounding original.

Bom, just cos you like them a bit doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't is a music nazi. Maybe it's a sign that Nickelback is just overplayed, overrated and shoved down our throats constantly.

Amen to that brotha. Music is supposed to mean something to you, and it's supposed to convey at least a little emotion.
When your main motivation for writing a song is to make more money, and you can write it in 5 minutes at your kitchen table using the only 4 chords you know (and use in every other song you've ever written), then you're damn straight I'm the music Nazi. And those damn Music Jews need to be crucified.

personally i don't see how anyone can take nickleback seriously. they're just souless, whiney, corporate rock designed to emulate and meld together every aspect of successful pop rock music from the past 15 years into some monstrosity of horrible crap that fits into a shitty genre of radio friendly vomit that record companies are in the last phase of milking for all it's worth.

the guy sounds like the guy at kareoke who's trying to sound like eddie vedder. they're worse than creed and puddle of mud even, and that's saying a lot.
but what bothers me about them the most though is their complete lack of creativity and originality.
