Ron Paul is on Youtube for 7 days 7 new videos!

Seeing as how there are alot of Ron Paul supporters on Shroomery, I think you should know that Youtube has the "spotlight" on Ron Paul.
There is only one video so far but he said it will be 7 videos for 7 days brand new interviews. I'm not posting a link because there is a bigass banner on the top of Youtube front page.

Pretty cool. I can't wait til he talks about drugs:evil:

I don't know if I could vote for Ron Paul, I like the idea of legalization of drugs and his ideas about freedom, but I don't like the idea of making abortion illegal. I also really doubt he would get elected, so if I'm going to waste my vote, I might as well vote green or libertarian.

Ron Paul is too right wing for my liking. He seems to have your typical "if people are in poverty its their fault" attitude about economics. I may well be wrong here, as I have a very limited knowledge of what he's all about. No offence intended to his supporters.

I agree with his ant-abortion stance, as unpopular as that may be:ohwell:

But really, what other candidate will be as good as Ron Paul for the drug culture?


We're gonna have to make some sacrifices as far as this goes, yaknow. I think legalization of grugs is  a fair price to pay.....know what I mean? It'll be worth, definetly

Fapjack, Ron Paul has never said he would make abortion illegal. His position is that it's not a federal issue and it should be left up to the voters to decide on a state level. Remember the 10th amendment in the Bill of Rights says "the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people". It's a pretty good Constitution we should listen to it.

EllisDSox, he is definitely not saying poor people deserve to be poor. He is saying it's largely the government's fault. Irresponsible spending and unsound fiscal policy have lead to higher taxes and inflation, and intrusive regulation and government-sanctioned monopolies stifle the free market and lead to unemployment. The nation's poor would be better served by a government that gets out of the way, allows its citizens to prosper, and lets the free market work. Not to mention that a culture of over-dependence on government services means we're basically all slaves to The Man. :wink:

Anyway I encourage you both to read up on his position and watch some of his speeches on Youtube, don't dismiss him out of hand until you know the whole picture.

I still disagree with his border policy, I might vote for him still though if he runs as an independent. I sure as fuck am not voting for the colored fella or the stupid slore.

Well he's seeking the Republican nomination, so he's not going to run as an Independent. But what's wrong with secure borders? We're spending billions of dollars fighting insurgents in the middle east and trampling our own rights at home with bills like the Patriot Act, all in an attempt to feel safe. But we leave our front door unlocked? We have the right as a nation to secure ourselves against our enemies. We have the right to decide on an immigration policy through the democratic process and enforce it. I don't think there's anything about his stance which is morally or constitutionally unjustified.

so you're saying you wouldnt vote for him if he runs as a republican, just for the sake that he's running as a republican? talk about being biased. he's the same person with the same ideas whether he's running as a republican or an independent.

Ron Paul doesn't have an "anti-abortion" stance. He has a "Federal Gov't not having the authority to decide on a matter like abortion" stance.

Also, why aren't you banned yet?

Of course. I'm not going to disregard a political figure based on a paragraph or so I read. However, I don't live in the US, so whether or not I chose to do so would make no difference. I shalt listen to a few of his speeches and return with deeper insight.
