So my ten year high school reunion is coming up

I say yes. You never know, it might be really fun. Last year I went to my five year reunion. Even though I was NOT one of the cool ones, I had an awesome time. Just treat it like a clean slate and be sociable with everybody. Many of the ones who were immature jerks back then have become much more genuinely cool in the years since.

Damn, the "related threads" for this thread are a bummer.

My school was weird. There was no hierarchy (no cool people, no nerds, etc...). I get the impression that other schools were like the high schools that you see in movies and shit. My school wasn't like that at all. Everybody just hung out with their own group of people and nobody cared what other people did.

But, anybody from school that I wish to contact I have their number or I can track them down. What will I talk to people at this thing about?

1. Where did you go to college?
2. Are you married? Have kids?
3. Where are you working now?

After those three I would have nothing to talk about. It all seems like a waste of time.

I missed my 10 year reunion, and I regret it. I'd liked to have seen some old friends.

My 25 will be coming up soon (they didn't have a 20th reunion for us) and I'll probably go if they do something. It'd be funny to see where everyone is at now. I bet nobody who knew me would ever expect who I am now.

-Not in any way religious
-Never had (and never will) any kids.
-Choose to live in a small apartment just to be close enough to the beach to surf daily.
-Have a long history of recreational drug use centered mainly around hallucinogenics.
-Even the long hair would be unexpected.

I'm sure it'd be suprising how other people turned out from my perspective as well.

My high school graduating class consisted of 37 people...And while I am to some degree curious to see how each and every one of them turned out there's no one that I really am excited to see...I've got four years or so until my 10th anyway. Does high school feel 10 years ago or less or more?

I haven't changed one bit. I'm still a cynical smartass who doesn't give a shit.

And I feel you on the whole time thing. It really doesn't seem as if it has been that many years. It feels like maybe 3 or 4 years max.

My high school reunion will be depressing. Half of the people there will be people who stayed in my hometown and who now have several kids and work $7-an-hour jobs. The other half will be the people who moved away and got careers.

And like I said, any of my friends I graduated with....I know their phone numbers and can call them at any time.

You should go, just create a character that would be a lot of fun and stay in character the whole damn time, acting like that IS YOUR LIFE. I think that would be fun anyway.

You can come clean with everyone at the end of it if you want, I just think that opens up some pretty funny opportunities.

My 10 year reunion got canceled cause mostly  everyone lives in a another country. Everyone was willing to travel for the holidays and get together.

I would like to see the old faces again, and see if they had change somehow and catch up somehow.

I didn't use drugs when I was in HS either. Good thing cause  I save myself a lot of money during those days, anyway my parents $$ :stoned:

That's a good start, but I'd throw in a cowboy hat, fake mustache, and a limp or other noticeable injury or deformity with a ridiculous story behind it.
