Just venting

I just got back from this...
I went to an open mic here in Vancouver (less than 35 people were present), and 20 minutes after I arrive Chad Kroeger (Nickelback) walks in, and stays for the next 2 hours while people are performing, and 1 song before I go up he leaves - tho I was supposed to have been on 3 songs earlier, but the guy who was running the open mic decided he wanted to randomly plug himself in the spot right before I went up.
I'm disappointed, I think I had something impressive to give, and that guy has his own record label so I was hopeful. Good yet still bad timing.

Not to be a dick but when you make it (and you will make it) you really shouldn't be associated in anyway with Nickelback or Chad whatever his name is. So this is kind of a blessing in disguise. That was kind of a prick move though for the guy running the open mic night to plug himself but in all honesty it's worthy of a laugh because it was probably that douche bag that drove Chad whatever his name is off. Keep the faith homey.

I just checked Chad Kroger up online, and his record label is based in Vancouver, tho Nickelback had a performance tonight/last night (26th) in Calgary, Alberta, so he must've caught a flight out here after the show. He has another show in Alberta tonight (27th) in Alberta.

I rencently came into contact with a drummer who's recently moved here from Manitoba, who wants to work with me on my music, and he's told me that he has very close ties to Chad's record label. I didn't previously ask him about it but now I want to. I'm not a Nickelback fan, but I would not shun the opportunity to be backed up by his label. There's no telling where there may be another chance given by a different company.

Oh, and if you haven't heard any of my tunes (which I've posted on the Shroomery before), I have some quick home recordings uploaded here and also here.
Also, I've recently met up with a guy who lives nearby and has a home studio in his house, who just earlier tonight offered to record some up my stuff for free. As you can bet, I'm way excited about that.

That guy who was running the open mic, stole your position to try to get himself noticed by nickel back(whoever the fuck that is). If you went there to get noticed by billy korgen, You should have knocked him the fuck out, that would have gotten his attention. I almost knocked out vanilla ice at an ihop, to get in the news. but I decided I was too drunk and didnt want to risk the chance of an ass wooping I couldnt live down.

I doubt Van Winkle can afford body guards. Last I heard he lives in a trailer again. He just looks like a troubled, angry, ready to explode and snap someone's neck kind of volatile guy.

He was on tour as Rah or some shit. and traveling through, So maybe his label gave him bodygaurds or they where just some big ass groupies in all black. I talked to him a little because it was so early and there was only us and vanilla ice in there. I pissed him off and he started talking about how he was doing the vanilla ice thing for money, like a prostitute. and Rah or w/e was more expressive of his real personality or some shit; Idk i just stumbled off drunk after awhile.

Yeah he gets really pissed off about that Vanilla Ice shit, understandably so I guess. It's like bringing up "whatchu talkin bout Willis" around Gary Coleman. He gets really pissed off.
