Any Scooter Owners Here?
    #7205923 -

I bought a Yamaha Morphous in early June.
it has a 250cc engine so it has a little nut, I take it on the interstate occasionally but it gets blown around a little too much amongst the semis, still my top speed was 70 mph.
gas mileage is great; i have put about $25 in gas in the bike so far and have a total of around 650 miles put on it.

plus, its a real head turner, even here in Milwaukee, which is Harley Davidson town.

maybe its b/c I now own one, but i see a lot more on the road lately. With gas prices what they are, scoots are economical and it seems even the small ones can get up to 50 mph, which is all you need if you live in city/suburbia.

In '89 I bought a 1969 Lambretta Silver Special 150. It was all original and ran like a champ. That was a lot of fun. I wish I still had that bike. I sold it for $600 in '91. Its probably worth 4 times that now.

That's a good lookin' vehicle. How much would something like that run you? Used? I'd have to use my car in the winter, but that'd be excellent for the summer commute and around the city.

I've always wanted a bike of some kind.

i've seriously considered and discussed buying either a scooter or actual motorcycle in the next couple of years... since i'm pretty sure i'll be living in or around a major metropolitan area, either mode of transportation is far superior to a car.

I have a 1994 honda elite.  it's quick, but get 35mph.  enough for me for where I am.  AND it's nice paying $1 to fill up my tank for two weeks of driving
