Help me identify my new echinocereus cactus.

Hello!

So today while I was shopping at a local grocery store, I stopped by the cactus section to see if there was anything interesting and I ran across this little guy (sorry in advance about the crappy pictures):



Anyway, the little tag thing didn't say what species it was exactly, but it did say 2" Echinocereus Species.
I'm thinking it's a San Pedro, but really, that's just a barely educated guess. So I'm wondering if anyone here can help me figure out what type of cactus it is? And if it is a San Pedro, does that mean it contains mescaline? I'm not going to eat it ( grow a few ethnos just because I think they are neat), but it's still nice to know. Also, would it be possible to split this thing in to two (then four and so on) cacti eventually? And if so, how would one do so?

I don't think that's a pedro, the spines seem too long, and the top is concave rather than convex.

I could be wrong, though; i'm new to this game. :grin:

It looks like it *could* be trichocereus peruvianus but I'm not expert and that pic is blurry.
