New idea for uploaded files

In case you didn't know, http://www.shroomery.org/forums/myfiles.php shows you what files you've uploaded over the course of your Shroomery history.

I think it would be cool to format the files kinda like how the pictures are, in regards to making a myfiles gallery where everyone could see what you've uploaded. It would make finding files a little easier when the person who uploaded it is offline, and cuts down greatly on searching through post after post to find that obscure Air Supply song you've had stuck in your head.

That's great idea. I've even found myself looking for "user files" link in someones profile just to come to realization that it doesn't exist.

I think it's a great idea too, but I also think the idea has been raised before, and shot down. If I recall correctly the typical response is something along the lines or "This isn't a file sharing site."

Although maybe you're saying instead of just having a directory of all the files you've uploaded available to everyone, there could be a list of all the files you've uploaded and what forums/posts to find them in? That's a little different than just having a direct link to tons of files to download :shrug:

I've suggested something similar, and Ythan shut it down for a good reason. We don't want the RIAA sniffing around here
