Waterstone's is looking to set up a helpline for fans of Harry Potter because two important characters in JK Rowling's saga will die in the last instalment to be published this summer.

The book chain forecast that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows would become not only the best-selling Harry Potter title but the biggest selling book in history. But that may not bring unalloyed happiness to the nation because of Rowling's warning about the deaths.

Debbie Williams, of Waterstone's, said yesterday: "This could be a similar moment to when Take That split up — there could be a lot of upset teenagers out there. We are looking to set up a helpline for them."

The seventh book in the wizard series will be published at midnight on July 21. Bloomsbury, the publisher, said Rowling had delivered her final manuscript "recently".

I mean REALLY its just a fucking book!


I addmitadly have read both the 5th and 6th book both in the last 3 days out of boredom, since i had not read them yet. It happened that while i was reading the 6th book that the corresponding movie came out since my brother works at the theatre i used to work at.

After i read the 6th book i found out the 7th book was coming out next week sometime and that my girls mom had already ordered a copy, and apparently Im going with Laska to pick the book up ay midnight that day(she lucked out at not having to work in the cafe till 3am)

so i am kinda interested in finding out the conclusion of the story. In my opinion its a good freakin story.

but Laska just told me about the helpline, she was informed at work at barnes and noble that they were setting up a helpline
