What is 'Shwag', really?

Since I've become a regular of the toker of the green, I've heard the term 'Shwag' tossed around quite a bit, 'middies' not so much, but shwag is by far the most thrown around term I've heard when it comes to lower quality weed. The problem is a lot of people's terms for shwag seem to differ person from person.

I've seen quite a few people who call middies shwag, and dirt shwag.

I've come to my conclusion about this rating system.

Dank: High end female plant, covered in trichomes and high in THC content, seeds are an Extreme rarity. Generally grown indoors, (soil or hydro, doesn't matter), with a lot of care going into the plants from seed to manicure and drying. Prices go for 300+ (Can be anywhere as low as 250 depending on location and connections, etc).

Middies: still smokable and decent, you can see some trichomes and such, consisting of good outdoor crops that are well tended and kept from fertilizing 95% of the time. Indoor can be middies as well depending on knowledge and growing experience. Gets you high but takes a full bowl, but isn't the best cure usually. Sometimes a little two wet or too dry. Trimming isn't very pretty either. prices go for like 170-260 an ounce. (low middies to higher middies nearly in the dank area).

Shwag: Has a range from very dirty dirt weed, brick weed, grows that got fertilized and no one bothered to care and tend it properly after, with almost no cure, crappy trim job, and low thc content. Prices range from lower than 25 an ounce to around 75 or maybe 100 if you suck.


Trim: This isn't to be mistaken with Shwag, as the trim from dank weed can be very potent. Trim should be rated on the same system as nugs.


that's how I feel. But what do you think?

Here's how it is in my area:

Dank: No seeds. Smells fresh and tastes awesome. Gets you really high after two hits. It is obvious that the bud was meticulously cared for, trimmed, dried, and cured.

Midgrade: Has a few seeds here and there. Definately has some quality to it and it gets you high but the appearance and taste is not as good as the dank.

Commercial: Average everyday weed. It has seeds in it. It's not as good as midgrade but it gets you high.

Schwag: Disgusting weed. It is chock full of seeds and has a disgusting smell and appearance. It literally looks like dead brown lawn clippings mixed with dirt. You'll find unidentifiable things in it too. It gives you more of a headache that a high.

Sounds about right to me.
My herb guy gets some dank homegrown for 150$ an ounce though

Yeah I let trim fall under the catagory of lowgrade mids while highgrade mids were the ones you were talking about. I guess commercial is the seperation mark between the low and high mids. :O

The shwag is the brownish seedy stemmy bricked up crap that you have to spend at least 10 minutes cleaning before you can smoke it. That's pretty much all I could ever get in the rural midwest where I grew up.

Anything that wasn't that, was billed as "kind" by the dealer man and he could pretty much name his own price, cuz it was that rare.

It wasn't till I left the sticks and started going to shows myself (and reading Shroomery) that I learned of all the varieties of "middies" and "beasties" in between the kind and the shwag.
