"To this day, Coca-Cola includes as an ingredient a coca leaf extract prepared by a Stepan Company plant in Maywood, New Jersey. The facility, which had been known as the Maywood Chemical Works, was purchased by Stepan in 1959. The plant is the only commercial entity in the country authorized by the Drug Enforcement Agency to import coca leaves, which come primarily from Peru. The non-narcotic extract is sold to Coke, while the active ingredient is sold to Mallinckrodt, a pharmaceutical firm, for medicinal purposes."

Yep, I agree, it wouldbe worth the effort.

Isnt coca picked like tea? The growing tips
are picked off while the wood is still soft.

With the younger leaves from the growing tips
being more concertrated, than the older lower
leafs?

I grow e novo which is one of the potent varieties. It takes a lot of leaf to produce coke because you are going to waste some in the extraction. It's better to chew the leaf or make tea, as was said. Forget about extracting, it's a waste of time.

done right 5 kilos of dried coca leaf will yield about 24-25 grams..

i feel ya on that. i'm new to the ethnobot world, and i LOVE coke!! only thing is, it's not only hard to get where i live, once i started readn about what they actually put in there (lidocaine and shit) i stopped. yeah, i'm stressed wanting more, but if i can't do it myself, then feck it.

so i took the rest of it and poured into a jar w/ some 100 proof rum, and shook the shit out if it. Now it's sitting in a nice dark place, and i'm hoping in another day or two it could be evaporated and maybe i'll be able to get it to atleast a resin. i've NEVER done anything like this before, don't know jack shit about chemistry (i can't even understand the simplest things) but i'ma try and c.

can it be acid washed or whatever the procedure is for making resin into crystallized powder to snort? i looked all over and couldnt even find a kanna ext. i'm copying what i read for salvia & kratom extraction.

oh well, i've run my jibber enuf. hopefully someone will guide this chem challenged neophyte so he doen't blow himself up like that jackass did at the hotel room. i certainly don't want to end up like that, so if you see this man going the wrong way with this, pls pull my coat. 'preciate it
