Heres my take on Glass, be it pipe, bong, chillum w/e

Fuck that shit. Unless your got it as a present, fuck glass. These fuckign assholes mass produce that cheap shit which is fragile as fuck, and shitty quality, and they have the balls to charge you INSANE prices for it. They all use that line "its only so expensive because we have to keep it on teh d-lo" which is fuckign bullshit.

30+ for a pipe
100-500 for a bong

Fuck that is my take on glass.

I don't know what the quality is like where you are...but here they're not bad! I've seen some shitty pieces in my time, but they were always priced as if they were cheap....I'm talking of the pipe that costs $10-20 when all the similar ones (but good quality) cost $50-60.

The price could be cheaper...but thats what you get for having a habbit that's against the law :wink:

No id have to disagree, thats what you get when you like it from the back. I mean really, thats what these people are doing, they are fucking you and you buy into their excuse for these high prices.

dude, you obviously haven't had the best experience with glass, but you very much get what you pay for. cheap pipes are cheap, 5-10 bucks for a cheap spoon or chillum. yes they're fragile, yes they break.

or, you can pay 50 bucks for a pipe from a good artist, and literally knock the shit out of it on a hardwood table without so much as a chip. not all are going to be like that, but lumping all glasswork together and deeming them inferior and fragile is ignorant.

plus, i don't know about you, but when i pay premium price for premium headies, i simply cannot smoke a full joint of it by myself, nor would i want to.

edit: also, just look at that. it's fuckin sexy.

And to the dude saying glass sucks:  Some glass sucks, but there's some really nice shit out there too.  I got a decent bong for $80 and it's been sturdy as hell.  I knocked it off my desk once and only chipped the downstem.
