although recent years i have been on more of a conflict avoidance thought pattern

i guess what happens is you learn and gain this little voice that hopefully guides you in the future

booze will put this voice to sleep ;p

last night i had to ask my neighbor to quiet down 2x at 1 and 3 pm . i didn't want to do it as i have been there...but they were out of control. walking over there tho...a big bunch of way drunk cocky rich kids...i was kinda nervous...but the owner was trying to police them...his GF was in his face too....one guy puked on the deck and several people slipped in it...it was rather amusing after a while....this morning im sure he felt like shit and had a pissed off woman in his face....heh

I got beat up real bad a few months ago... some guy knocked me out, and then proceeded to lay into me roughly 15 or so times, gauging by the number of welts and cuts all over my face/head. It was pretty much all because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This guy was looking for a fight and I did all I could to avoid it. I was pretty depressed for a couple weeks after that... so my advice is try not to do what I did and let your head play games with you about it. Meditate on it, come to a resolve about what happened and what you can learn from it, and move forward.

Yeah I am really pretty much over it.

I just noticed I have a black eye.

About the black eye: not much you can do once its already black and been a few dies. Ice on a black eye immediately afterwards helps to keep the swelling down and constrict internal bleeding (which is what cause the black and blue effect).

Since it's been a while, what you can do to help it is take a washcloth in warm water, wring it, and place it over the eye. Once it cools soak in warm water again and repeat as needed. This helps disperse the blood and feels good as well.

If you have any skin cream with Vitamin A and/or Vitamin K in it.. use that around the eye... (but not IN the eye..)
