I feel like such a nerd!

OK - i've been going on this big prog-rock kick as of late. First I got bit-torrent, and then I realized I needed to come up with some albums to download. So I sent an email to a friend, and he recommended a bunch of prog-rock. Prior to this, the only thing I listened to that could be classified prog-rock was one album by King Crimson (In the Wake of Posieden), Ozric Tentacles, and Pink Floyd. In the past week, I've downloaded the entire discography of Camel, a bunch of Gentle Giant albums, all of King Crimson's earlier stuff, a few albums by a band called Focus, a live concert by the band Magma, an album by Mythos, and the album "Brain Salad Surgery" by Emerson, Lake, & Palmer - basically tons of prog-rock from the 70s.

:smile: I feel like I should start wearing green tights and playing D&D

I gotta go listen to some Grateful Dead, before I start questioning my intentions!

Do you listen to Dream Theater? Only prog-rock band I listen to, and it's cause they are super-human musicians..

i have yet to listen to them, but some albums of theirs were in the list my friend emailed me - so i'll get on it in the upcoming week. i've heard they are quite "super-human" musicians before, though

I think dream theater is more classified in the "progressive-metal" category... but they certainly are superhuman musicians
