Yeah man dig Jefferson Airplane, great acid rock (Come Up the Years, Somebody to Love, White Rabbit wich is a classic, She Has Funny Cars). Also the song San Francisco by Scott McKenzie. Rainbow Chaser by Nirvana (Not the Grunge Band)
Some trippy calm Psychedelic rock would be Donovan (Wear your Love Like Heaven, Catch The Wind) The Wizard by Uriah Heep. The Doors have some nice songs (not that long), Break on Through, Hello I love you. Jimi Hendrix has a lot of nice psychedelic rock, maybe too hard or too blues to be truely psychedelic.
Janis Joplin has some great stuff... dig her Greatest Hits. Time Seller by Spencer Davis Group. Woodstock by Matthew's Southern Comfort.
I hope I helped you man!
