Holy shit, I was at Six Flags in St. Louis the day that happened (yesterday), and I rode that Superman ride! I woke up this morning and looked in the paper and saw that article, kinda creeped me out. Thats not going to keep me from riding amusement park rides though. Just look how many people are killed in car wrecks each day, does that stop you from riding in cars?

(not to downplay a fear, fear is fear, just saying.......)
roller coasters are probably the safest form of transportation, and safer than garden hoses incidentally.

I woke up to that shit on CNN. I'm all tired and groggy and read "girls feet severed." I was all dubyateeeff?! I can't visualize how exactly it happened, so I can't really grasp the horror of it.

THAT GIRL was my brother's girlfriend's cousin's friend.

my bro and this cousin went to six flags great america near chicago, and then the cousin went back to kentucky. She went to six flags with her friends and was sitting right beside her friend who got her legs chopped off at the ankles.

My bro told me that they were on the Giant Drop at the very top when a cable snapped, and the emergency brakes kicked on after they were falling. A cable, however, was whiplashing and sliced off this girl's feet.

Out of the millions of people that ride roller coasters each year, you get freaked out because one person gets their feet lopped off? I'd be more fearful of the crap ass food they sell.

I bet this "accident" was no accident at all. In fact, we should all be afraid of amusement rides. There may be a conspiracy at hand.

its not like this isolated incident is making me say..."fuck that, im never going on a ride again"

the decsion was made long ago when i first realized that i hate rollercoasters. call me a pussy or whatever...but the fact his i have been on roller coasters before, and have never ever enjoyed it.
