George Carlin's Solution to our Gas Problem...

President Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to
stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That
would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would
come down. Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When
they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen,
rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq Tell him if he wants to come to
America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's
pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed
to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be
registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably
deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and
the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to
serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo.
Problem solved.

Sure.. the immigrants are at fault. More hate will save America, right on :frown:
It's not like all those SUVs have anything to do with it, or the fact that many Americans get behind the wheel to avoid a 5 minute walk from A to B.

My point to it being a joke, whether you find it funny or not, is you were upset at the phrasing of illegal immigrants being a cause of our gas prices, and I was saying, it was a joke, not an actual plan.  Lighten up.

I wasn't upset in any way. I just responded to your post. The mentality displayed in your quote is one I regret. Even though it was an attempt at humor, there are not a few people who really think like that. The quote reminded me of that mentality, which I don't like, and it did nothing to make it funny, at least to me.

That's great reasoning. Extremely logical statement than. It's not funny, so it's not Carlin?

I've seen entire standup routines of Carlin before and not laughed once. Especially his "clean" years, after he quit cocaine, none of his acts were funny.

I liked it, ignore the PC police, maybe if they lived around where our area's have been destroyed by illegal immigrants and seen all the trash they've dumped in our pristine forests and drive out our blue collar workforce, they may understand why we feel so strongly about it.
