shroomery olympics...

anyone remember that shit from like 1-2 years ago where someone tried to have a shroomery olympics where users formed teams based on their regions and competed in arcade games.

it was a great idea, but failed due to lack of organization. (lots of interest but whoever organized it just sucked)

would anyone be down for participating in such an event?

What kind of arcade games? Why not something like everyone play a huge death match of something over XBOX live and see who can survive the longest on a quarter of shrooms, it being the shroomery olympics and all...

yeah just in brainstorming mode.. im thinking 6 teams.

US- North
US- South
US- West
US- East
Canada
Europe

to determine the team you would be on for the US, ill put up a map with a big "X" through it and whichever triangle you fall into would be your team.

im thinking 5-10 users MAX per team. the more people, the more complicated it becomes and the more likely u will have more flakes.. all spots would be determined by seniority if space becomes limited.

it would be a double elimination type tournament. each individual user on each team would match-up with a predetermined opponent on the opponents team and compete in 3-7 arcade challenges.. each player has the potential to earn 1 point for their team, therefore the maximum score per round would be 5-10 (depending on the number of players per team)

what do you guys think... these terms are in no way set or anything, im just kinda throwing ideas out there.

perhaps i could talk ythan into hooking the winning team up with some sort of little icon for the "1st annual shroomery olympics" or some shite.

and the games would be selected at random, probably 1 from each category or something.
