    #7012656 -

Ok so I got off a guy two 400W never used ballast's + reflectors and bulbs but there not wired I expected a plug for my wall outlet but there are just like 6 wires sticking out of the ballast , I guessed i had to wire a plug for my wall anybody have any help >? Iam pretty stuck and the internets not helping much, I also wanted to have the bulbs a couple feet from the ballast I was told I can rip them out and lengthen the wires

Actually it's way easy, the wires in the plug cord should color match as long as he doesn't need to switch from 110 to 220,shouldn't need to learn any wiring skills perse other than to do it and not start a fire.

Handy easy to find cords that are tough enough is any heavy duty extension cord do not skimp get the good ones.Same for between the light and ballast. You may even want to re-wire it all the way inside of the ballast to ensure maximum safety(how I'd do it)

It's probably a multi-tap ballast with connections for 120/277/347 volts... You need the 120v one for your plug in... there should be writing on the insulation or a sticker on the wire or writing where the wire connects to the ballast/starter. The white is your neutral conductor, the green is the ground... These usually come with paper work for wiring it as well. And to state the obvious, be careful.
