9 Kittens = Oodles of cuteness.

Some of you may have read my thread that I posted recently regarding the loss of my kitten, Commodus (Commie).  If you didn't, and want to, here it is

So, the woman we adopted Commie through happened to still have his "twin" brother available, and we are adopting him.  He gets here next week, on the 13th.  We started thinking about how kind she has been to us, and wanted to find a way to help her out.  I asked her how we could best help her, whether it be monetary donations, or sending supplies to her home...and she laughed and said "You could take some of these kittens!"  So I said "Ok, send them on up".  I don't think she actually expected me to say yes....apparently she doesn't know me very well :shrug:

Right now, she has about 30 kittens at her house, ranging from 2-3 days old to about 8-9 weeks old.  She bottle feeds orphaned litters until they are old enough to eat regular food, use the litter box, and find forever families.  She lives in a very rural area, and there aren't many homes there to adopt kittens out to, so I told her we would take 5 foster kitties, and in addition to our new kitten on June 13th.  Well, as of this morning, I have already found homes for 3 of them, so I told her I would take 3 more.  I've invested in a little play pen type thing to keep them corralled when necessary, as well as a shitload of cat toys, cat nip, treats,cat food, and a few more cat carriers, since I'm going to need them! 

Without further adieu, here are the kittens. 

Starting with Cheddar, Commodus's brother.

This is him when he was a baby....he is the orange one inbetween that huge dogs paws.

At first glance, when I received that last picture, I thought it was a naked girl holding him over her boob.  Turns out it's her son - phew. :lol:  We had a good laugh over that one.

Now the rest of them.  They are all 6 weeks old, will be 7 weeks old when they arrive.

Liz, you are the reigning queen of cute posts. :lol: That picture of your dog squinting like buddha surrounded by kittens =priceless!

I am glad you were able to adopt a relative of Commodore. That was really sad news, but at least you were able to adopt another member of the family. Good luck with all of those kitties and don't hesitate to post more pics.

PS. Yeah I thought that was a titty underneath that kitty.

Gluke, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that!  I opened the email with that picture in it and was HORRIFIED thinking to myself "Oh my god, that's my kitten on a BOOB"  :lol:

Whiskey, I think that picture is hilarious.  The other one of Hailey is much better - I think she's beautiful.  Hopefully all of these furry babies will be adopted quickly to great homes!  :grin:

i'd want him if you didn't live so far away and i could have another cat. the fact that my cat doesn't like other cats doesn't help either though. he's such a butthead.

Isn't he precious??  What's funny is, the woman who raised him until now said that when he was a baby, he was the ugliest kitten she had ever seen :lol:

If I had my way, I'd keep them all, but luckily my fiance is the voice of reason over here :smile:

really? i can't imagine him being an ugly baby because he's so precious now.

i'm the same way as you, if i had my way, i'd keep them all. it's good to have a voice of reason around.

right now we're taking care of a possum that was orphaned. he's getting bigger but he's still not quite big enough to be released. his name is Pontus, i'll have to attempt to get a picture of him because i think he's absolutely adorable.

looking at the pictures again, Rambo is also really fucking cute. i guess it's his colouring that really makes him stand out.

I think Rambo is really cute, too. I just posted an ad on craigslist for the kittens, and in 15 minutes I've gotten about 30 replies. Rambo is adopted, as is Romeo, Sophie and Gavin...and 1 girl is coming to pick one out based on personality, so we'll see who she takes!
