Today at the precinct. (Geek Squad)

So I get into work and sit down at the computer, clock in, and stand up to go work.  My manager pushes me right back into the chair and says, "The full-time position is yours.  I didn't announce it yet so keep it on the DL but it's yours."

YES!!!  :lol:  I can get contacts and see again!  I can go to the dentist and get my teeth cleaned!  I can go to the doctor and get a checkup!  :grin::grin::cool:    It's been YEARS since I've done any of that and I finally have the opportunity now.  I hear the benefits are great at Best Buy so I'm really excited that my work has shone through and paid off.

Five minutes later my day got even better!

Some customer had a bad copy of Windows that kept bugging him to activate it and it wouldn't let his daughter into her account unless it was activated.  I had to phone up Microsoft because his internet was out and the whole ordeal lasted about 20 minutes.  When I was done I handed his laptop back with a smile, and he said, "What do I owe ya?"

"Ahh it's nothing don''t worry about it"
"You sure? Come on I have to give you something."
"Well I could ring you up for a $30 half-hour service fee...."
"Here....put this in your pocket."

He hands me a 20 dollar bill.  I look left, look right, pop that bill in my pocket and graciously thanked the man.  Lunch was AWESOME today. :thumbup:

Anyone else have a streak of positive events take place?

well, i got stoned and my girl went down on me and then fucked me.

i consider that a pretty good day.

that's a lot of awesome news!  good to hear things are going your way, you must have earned it.

everything that's happening to me these days is [finally!] positive, there are far fewer things bothering me than ever before.

btw you're a cool person just because you have Mitch Hedberg in your avatar.  the first time I heard one of his CD's, while stoned at a friend's place near the beach, I cracked up almost painfully ... :thumbup:

Hah. I had a string of negative events.
