Hey AJ4U,
That wasn't my dog, that was a foster dog that I had here for a few days named Emma. She went to her new home after a few days here, and yes, she is using her back legs more. Her new Mom is doing an amazing job with her - bringing her to physical therapy, and even using acupuncture to help stimulate her muscles. She's able to take 4-5 steps now, which is really exciting, and hopefully she keeps getting better!

This is true - it is never lonely at my house!  :laugh:  Thank god for the fenced in backyard - it would be a madhouse in here 24/7 if we couldn't spend a lot of time outside with the dogs everyday!  :crazy:

This new ferret is shitting and eating a TON

He's also growing super fast. Only had him a month and he's almost as big as our biggest one. The smallest, oldest one will still be the leader, but we both this guy is going to be huge.

Our "baby" ferret is huge too. I think he's the biggest one we have now. Maybe Marshalls is feeding them something new or something....they're definitely bigger than they used to be!

Bad idea unless raised together, ferrets are food. They got those nasty fangs and certainly tear a hunk outa you if needed but a large cat or med+ dog would kill one np.

If raised togather from pup/kitten they are fine.

Liz, our new baby seems smarter than these other 2 too, marshal is breeding super ferrets. :x

I dunno, I've seen my ferrets beat the crap out of my lab on more than 1 occasion. Of course, she doesn't fight back...but as long as someone has an obedient dog, it would probably be fine with a ferret, as long as they aren't like a husky or something with a high prey instinct. Cats are typically great with ferrets too.

Ya, depends on the personality of the pet. When we buy a house I'm thinking of putting the ferrets outside...

This would be a whole thing. The only thing I worry about is birds of prey...

Outside? In a climate controlled habitat or something? They're very temperature sensitive, so be careful with that - they can die if they get too hot.

Yes, with the ability to leave to the backyard, like a dog door.

With my ability to electronically engineer monitoring devices, it shouldn't be too hard, or too much $$. I already got a space A/c.

They could fend off casts np, and I doubt a cat would even fuck with them. A hawk or an eagle however...

Ferret & butterfly garden anyone? :yesnod:

Why would a hawk have access to them if they're inside something?
