I think you had to sign up or something. Its the beta copy but I think they are only give out like 10,000 copies or something like that. I think somehow you sign up and its linked to your gamertag so only you can download it or something.

Either way, Halo 3 looks fucking awesome.

I call shenanigans... I was online at 8m EST this morning with my special copy of Crackdown, and the "Download Halo 3 Beta" link was still inactive...

The wait is excruciating. They had *months* to test this and make this work, and now those of us who paid for our chance to play the Beta are the only ones who can't.

Fat chance. Rumor now has it that the problem will take three days to fix. Others believe it will be done tonight. On Bungie's official beta forums, trolls post links to European Xbox.com sites to trick gullible people who don't check time zones. It's sheer madness.

And alot of us have wasted a day off to sit here and do nothing. But it's Halo 3. What choice do we have?
