But I'm not gonna lie, I barely knew who they were before the show. I was there because it was free but damn am I glad I went. Fun times.

99x has been hosting free concerts in atlanta for almost a decade, some of the
bands are top names others are up and coming, seems ozzy has been copying them

it was called 'on the bricks' for a while and I believe it's now called 'downtown
rocks', they hold it in different areas but it's always open air like centennial
park, underground atlanta, piedmont park... usualy the events are pretty tame,
occasionaly they can get a bit out of hand

haha i got invited.. but i'm not too sure i'm into cypress hill

however, the Atlanta Jazz Festival is coming up soon
and the 28th, i believe, is the day that Herbie Hancock is going to be playing. at 8:00p.m. for free! at piedmont park.

I'll definitely be there

Cypress Hill is one of the few hip-hop/rap artists I wouldnt mind seeing.

Not sure if I would pay for it though.

Quick update

This was not a 99x event. It was called "Southern Comfort Music Experience". It was a free, 21+ event and there was liquor EVERYWHERE. People were completely shitfaced (I wasn't for a variety of reasons). The band before them was Galactic and that rocked as well.

Downtown Rocks does indeed happen though. I went to that 2 years ago to see Kasabian. That was also good times.

Blink 182? Are you sure? That doesn't sound right. I like Galactic and it would sure as shit be cool to see them open for Cypress Hill. I've been listening to those guys since the early 90's.
