Rage Against the Machine was unbelievably good...I did not expect to be as blown away as I was, at all..

I think it's funny how they were releasing albums in the good ol' Clinton years. If anything, you'd think they'd have been raging more than ever in the past 7 years or so.

I was expecting a lot more anti-Bush stage banter than we got...it was pretty much limited to just one brief rant about bringing the whole system down generation by generation moreso than hating one administration.

Sounds like they're just a little angry with the machine anymore.

From now on they will be known as Minor Annoyance Towards the Machine.

Yeah, they played all the jams.  It was awesome and so spare, just guitar bass drums and vocals...Tom Morello kills on guitar.

Met up with unbeliever a couple of times. I was gonna try and find him for Infected Mushroom but my phone died.

There were a few reunions at Coachella (there always are) and Rage was actually the only one where I didn't get a sense it was just about the cash. Jesus and Mary Chain put on an awesome show but all of them seemed really ambivalent about it...you could tell it was for the cash.

isn't rage playing in NY? I want to see that, I heard new tickets go up on Friday maybe?

They're playing in NY twice. Rock the Bells added another date, the day after the first one, at the same place, because the first day sold out in 20 minutes.

Go if you can get tickets...totally fucking worth it. First thing I did when I got home was download all their albums again.

Not to mention Wu-Tang, Cypress Hill, and tons of others.
Of course, if rap isn't your thing then just sleep all day and show up later for Rage.

Yeah I heard they had IM and Rage playing at the same time. Good call choosing Rage over IM, I would have done the same. You can always catch one of their shows some other time.
