Nice. It's spread out nicely where there aren't too many difficult decisions to make. I hate when all of the best artists are all playing at the same time. That really makes me angry and indecisive. I think you'll have a great time! Have you checked the weather? What are your highlights going to be, as far as bands?

Forecast for all the days I'm there - 98 degrees and sunny. :cool:

The bands I'm most psyched to see are Bjork, LCD Soundsystem, Interpol, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Konono No.1, Roky Erickson, The New Pornographers, Explosions in the Sky, Manu Chao, Air, !!!, Of Montreal...

The end of Friday night is fucking great...I mean I will be all about Bjork but four amazing bands closing out the night - Bjork, Black Keys, The Good The Bad and the Queen, and The Rapture. :drooling: It's not fair!

i just had a lame idea. i have a friend going to the show, he will be handing his art to the artist their. he goes to some cool ass art school so its some kinda biz project. any how i was thinking maybe some one going could greet him. asuming he agrees and some one wants to take the time to smoke a bowl with him.

Cornelius is this weird Japanese guy that puts on a crazy Beck-like funky multimedia performance.

Konono No.1 is an African percussion group that is fucking awesome.

Roky Erickson was the lead singer of The 13th Floor Elevators, one of the best psychedelic bands of all time. He just started performing again after like 30 years of being insane.

And !!! is dancey awesomeness.

Have you checked out LCD Soundsystem at all? Man when I saw them live last month it was one of the best things I have ever seen in my entire life...they are gonna kill at Coachella, I just wish they were outdoors and not in a tent.

Honestly Friday and Sunday I won't get there any earlier than 3 or 3:30 I don't think. We stay at this really nice hotel and the past few years we haven't gotten a chance to chill poolside much, so I'm thinking Bloody Mary's in the early afternoon sun.

OMR, thanks for always giving us the most recent news on Coachella. I'm gonna be there as well, and I'm on the website's media player right now checkin out LCD Soundsystem and the others that you recommend. I am not familiar with alot of the bands this year so I am looking forward to sampling alot of different things as opposed to waiting at one stage like I did last year for Tool (which was worth it)

Just found out we got All-Access passes...which means we can stand on the side of every stage but the Main Stage during the performances. :rockon:

Man, you're going to be in paradise!!

We rae going to the beach to see Widespread Panic, dj Logic, Larry Keel, Col. Bruce Hampton, and some other bands play. WSP is playing 2 days and there is a 3-day festival at Pirate's Cove (http://www.jambase.com/search.asp?venueID=53252).
