It's not just about seeding what you download, you need to upload torrents too or else it's hard to stay within the requirements.

It's not hard to stay within the requirements at all. It may not be easy to have a phenomenal ratio, but you aren't going to get the boot if you don't suck at seeding what you've already downloaded.

But the fact is, on Oink, most torrents have hardly any leechers and tons of seeders. I had to stop downloading albums on Oink because no one is leeching them back. I have awesome bandwidth too, Azureus stays on almost all the time and yet I still have a very poor ratio. If you go into the IRC help channel they'll tell you the same- Don't expect to just seed what you've downloaded and be able to stay on the site. It just doesn't work that way. Unless you are downloading the new very popular ones just for the sake of seeding, which works well if you have a paid account so you can see what torrents are new.

I have Oink, I know how it works. My ratio is far from being good, but I'm also in no danger of getting kicked off. You could definitely survive without uploading shit, but obviously it helps a lot.
