A Fall

So I was re-walking a route through my neighborhood that I took on my toughest psychedelic trip, and I was contemplating MarkostheGnostic telling Demotriton that he was in for a "fall" on his spiritual trip. And I was thinking a lot about the ramifications of this great 'fall', ad then I started thinking (as it is my superstitious mind's wont to do), "What if there is some synchronicity here and, as soon as I stop thinking about this fall, I fall?" I do this a lot, start thinking that whenever I put something out of my mind it will come true in some unexpected way. I recalled recently a really disturbing dream I was having, and it had culminated in a really scary image of the Bible and then all of a sudden I woke up and a family member had just taken a serious tumble down the stairs outside of my room - a fall as it were.

So this is all totally paranoid thinking. Nevertheless I decided to keep this idea of the fall in my mind just as a kind of mantra to consider as I walked to meet a friend for lunch.

At some point it floated naturally out of my mind. Anyway, we went to play basketball about an hour later, and what do you know? I went up for a shot, my friend went up to swat the ball, I ducked under him to shoot under his oustretched arm, and I tripped on his shoe and fell hard to the ground. I mean a really, really painful fall, and the whole right side of my body was in excruciating pain. My ass and elbow have really deep bruises and my knee and the whole side of my upper body are in pain.

I must say I have a lot of totally irrational superstitions which I try to keep in track by way of reason and mindfulness, but this occurrence just seemed incredibly weird. Anyone have any recent stories like this?

I hear you.
Similar oddities have happened to me, I'm not in the mood for relating because it still freaks me out :eek:
But what I can't tell for sure is whether I found the links because I wanted to, because something made that situation have such a big impact on me that I found incredible similarities or if it was more then just a coincidence.

Lately, it seems my projections are being made real. As if I have stumbled upon some power over my immediate surroundings. It seems like a game. Like the universe is trying to get my attention. Now that I am listening, what to do?? Is it good?? Or do things need to be fixed??

to think only of falling and to take no actions to neutralizing falling ensures a program is created. to neutralize -- :shrug: -- "this is bullshit and it does not exist" - xinfinity or forgetfulness, or exhauastion of fear.

not quite sure about that, but its what i picked up about how to delete bad thoughts without giving them power, you can't think "i won't fall" because it has the idea fall embedded in it, but "there is no such thing" is simply a statement that there is no such thing, without linking what "is" is to the concept being negated.

actually you can do the negation then switch to "i am perfectly safe at all times and trust in the universe"

what matters is the deep lying dreams (realities) beneath all our thoughts, but i think we can gradually hack them down to size by staying on the top this way, best is how to figure out how to take a thought/intention and see it through to its mental and astral counterparts so we can view exactly how it will impact us and have a more immediate effect

and certainly finally faith in something is helpful, such as a mantra like Om Nama Shivaya

I've made sense of it. Questions still remain. Mainly... Is it good or do things need to be fixed?? Did someone build a perfect system?? Is it about time?? Is this supposed to happen??
