Forest Fungus Fandango

"Forest Fungus Fandango" I don't know what the hell it means. It just sounded good as a subject title. Anyway, I was out for my usual morning walk in the woods and found quite a wide variety of mushies out there. A couple I couldn't ID. Enjoy the pics....


The above two are of the Boletus variety.



above 2 possibly Amanita Franchettii?



Amanitas?



No clue....

This last one is a large Bolete that grew on its side.

First two are Polyporus, perhaps P. badius.

Second three are Agrocybe praecox, though the middle photo might be somethign different.

The top species looks like Boletus zelleri. You haven't posted enough info for a solid ID, but if it is, that would be a good edible.

The second could be Amanita franchetii. That species is easy to ID when it is very young because the universal veil spots are bright yellow. It could also be Amanita pantherina. When posting pics of Amanitas, it is a good idea to carefully dig up the base of the stalk so we can see what kind of vulva it has.

The third species looks like Amanita magniverrucata.

The fourth looks like Polyporus badius or Polyporus melanopus.

If the fifth one isn't Agrocybe praecox then it could be a Stropharia like Stropharia riparia or Stropharia ambigua. But the cracked cap, color, and habitat makes me think A. praecox.

The last one could be a Xerocomus truncatus due to the cracked top and reddish stain in the cracks. If it is truncatus then the pores will bruise a cobalt blue instantly when you touch them. If it takes a few seconds to turn blue, it could be Xerocomus chrysenteron.
