I like booze even though my body may not.

What's everyone up to on this fine Saturday night?

At the beginning of this week, it was snowing, temperatures well below zero.  NOW, it was like 15C today! :thumbup: 

I'm having a bunch of friends over in an hour or two to watch the ppv fights on the big screen I got.

Nice! I've never had that sam adam's before. I had one kind and me and my group of friends all concur it is the worst tasting beer we've ever had. I can't remember the kind. It MIGHT of been boston lager

I got some a nice joint rolled up, but I think I'm gonna put it off until I have a few more drinks.

Just hanging around the pad tonight?

Nice, I haven't been drinking quite that long, but I'm broke

I think I'm getting a bad cold/flu too.  I noticed it yesterday and I think it's getting progressively worse.  Last night I took 500mg of Vitamin C and today I've had 1000mg of Vitamin C in the hope it will help curb this sickness.

I'm through a bottle of wine though(good australian wine)

I'm thinking of saying "fuck it" and going to buy some beer(mmmmmmmm).  I have over 300 dollars in my account right now, but it's spoken for with bills.....we'll see how longs it takes for me to say "fuck it!" :grin:

hehe I love nights like that, but I hate the evening when I wake up.

I remember so many times going for lunch at the end of a drinking night/morning.  I wake up between 6pm-9pm and feel HORRIBLE.  Some of those nights set me back over 500 bucks.

Still....a beer might make you feel better :grin:

Well, Camden is one of those cities that was completely destroyed by the crack epidemic. Most houses are abandoned/vacant and have crackheads and homeless people living in them.

Habitat for Humanity gets volunteers to fix up these houses so that they are livable, which actually translates to really fucking nice. Families who are in desperate need of housing get the houses after some screening and applications. I believe the end up paying HfH back for the house in the end.

Today I was in charge of cutting down trees that were threatening power/telephone lines or just in the way. This one tree we cut down was a weed (which smelled like cat piss, I kid you not) and had been growing behind this house for 22 years. That's a long time for some weed to be growing behind some abandoned house. It had actually grown THROUGH the telephone lines.

I also moved a washer and dryer into the basement of another house

It was back breaking work and I've been having really, really shitty times with my arthritis lately. It was rewarding though, to know that I'm helping to improve one of the worst cities in the nation. I actually had a few seemingly homeless people tell me that they are proud of me and appreciate me helping turn things around :thumbup:

It was my first time helping out but I think I'll be helping a lot more. Most of the people who volunteer have no knowledge of construction so they aren't much help other than painting and cleaning carpets/windows/trash.

Boston Lager is delicious, in my opinion.

No beer to drink, no where to go. Campus is empty as shit a fuck ton of people went home this weekend. And lately I've been wanting to smoke, but I have no connections here and the people who would are home. Boo.

Sounds pretty shitty. We have an area of town that fits that description.

At our habitat for humanity, it's almost like a store. Me and friends use it to buy cheap things(coffee tables, beds, windows, etc).

I always knew they had volunteers though to do such things.

I would love to volunteer, but I hate the fact that I wouldn't be getting paid. How do you find the time to volunteer?

yea, not sure if it was the boston lager. Just a guess, but whatever we had...it was the most disgusting beer I've ever tasted.

I imagine it's pretty empty, easter long weekend and all. No money to go for a walk and buy some beer?

:thumbup: Maxim magazine had an article on just how shitty Camden is, and it's "crash and burn" decline. I didn't believe it until I passed through there. It's even worse than they described.

Happy Easter :smile: I'm suckin back the equivelent of 9 beer in the form of Faxe 10%. Tommorrow i plan on using turbo yeast to ferment 8 KG's of sugar into 18 to 23% alcohol and then mix it with different fruit juices for a much cheaper high, commercial alcohol sux :yesnod:
