My roommate

Has been listening to the same fucking song all night. Literally. I don't understand how you could do that. Plus he listens to his headphones so fucking loud that I can hear the song clearly, no exaggeration. I don't even know how they get that loud, how he doesn't notice, or why he doesn't just use speakers at that point. It means I have to listen to my music at a ridiculous level just so I don't hear his in the background.

Meh, he's the type of asshole who doesn't have much consideration for me or my comfort. Knowing him he'd probably go home and get a bigger and better one and play more annoying music. Plus he lives half an hour from campus and I live 7, so he has way more access to resources if we ever got into a roommate battle.

I just leave my side of the room an absolute mess. That's my retaliation for all the fucking annoying shit he does.

Better yet, I'll wait til he comes home next Saturday night, it's the end of hell week for him so I'm sure he'll be wasted. Then when he paces out I'll shit on his face. Then I'll take pictures and post them in OTD.

Shitty. Roomates can really suck. I have one that has stated quite clearly that she prefers to live in squalor. She thinks that living in a reasonably tidy house (i.e. one in which the washroom is cleaned once every couple weeks, and the dustmites are vacuumed monthly) is "sterile" and that filthy, infection ridden mess is representative of "life." I'm pretty far from being a neat freak myself, but I'm not into paying rent to live in a squat. The worst thing about it is that the only reason she lives here is because I advocated for her to roomates (who've now left) that were skeptical of her moving in. Biggest mistake ever.

you should have roomed with someone you know. i'm rooming with my best bud. i'm a fucking pig, and he deals with it with grace. if things get too messy, he usually just brings a female friend over, which embarrasses me into cleaning up a bit; or he'll badger me multiple times until i get on it.

he's cool as hell though because he puts up with the shit i do to him. i'm like an annoying little brother. i hide his shoes, or throw pennies at him from behind the couch, and then nearly piss myself laughing. it's a fun relationship.

I know that's not directed at my, but I'm all hopped up on addy so I'm gonna respond anyway.

I didn't room with someone I know because I'm from out of state, and don't know anyone going here. Even if I went to SU or UB with a bunch of my friends I would try the random roommate out for the experience and there's also the possibility you don't hate each other so it's a chance to expand your social circle.

A lot of people say they choose not to because living together would ruin a friendship, but I know I could live with most of my good friends and have a ball. There's one or two that I couldn't just because I'm a slob and a late night person and they are neat, morning people.

I've mentioned that he listens to his music unnecessarily loud. He says he'll listen to it at whatever volume he pleases. He is reasonable in the fact that if I go to bed and ask him to turn it down he will, thank god.

sucks the dude is a douche. but little feuds like that always bring out the worst in us, so maybe he's not really that much of a douche usually.

Nope, no one in his frat likes him too much from what I hear, everyone was surprised he got a bid. I know I do things to piss him off too so usually I don't mind shit he does, and a lot of it happens to just be my own pet peeves, like he makes a lot of noise when he eats and for some reason that really bothers me, not much he can do about it.

And yeah, I think I really regret not going somewhere with a couple of my friends, both my dad and I thought it would be a good idea to start somewhere new (both my brother and sister did) but I just don't have the social skills to go out on my own and make new friends, I should have taken that into account.
