Split Stalks

I just had a quick question. . .
A couple of my shrooms' stalks split open a little bit for some reason when they were growing. There is no bluing or any other discoloration where the stalk has split open. Has anyone seen this before? And are the shrooms with split stalks still okay to consume? Thanks,
