How much leisure time do you have?

How long do you get to yourself lets say every week or so?

Right now Im remembering being in college not so long ago, completely dying for some work or a routine to keep my ocupied because I had so much free time.....

Now only have Sunday ( hungover ) to mess about, I get about three hours every day during the week which is plagued by tiredness and lethargy

I get a couple hours a week from late winter to mid-late fall, I work 12hr shifts
as a metal fabricator/welder and when I get home my 'me time' is spent as a farmer
for another 4 hours, every other week I have my kids and my weekends are spent
with 12 hrs of field work

I'm pretty close to your schedule.

I wake up about 6:30 during the week. After working, and hitting the gym I get home about 8:30 where I still have to eat and shower. I can say however, that despite the stress and workload, I genuinely enjoy my job.

Funny you mention college. When I was a student, I remember thinking: "oh gosh, I have all these papers and studying to do". Now I wish I had the leisure life of college.

My workday starts 5pm and lasts about 1-2 hours 4 times a week. So I have so much free time, I can do as I please. Although I have so much spare time, I can't get my "not so important" things done.

I'm occupied with my job from 7am until 6pm. If I have any errands to run, that knocks off at least another hour. So we'll say I get about 3 hours to myself each night and Sat-Sun. It hardly seems like enough free time to do much at all. At least I don't find myself getting regularly bored anymore though...

I commute about an hour to work, shift starts at 6:30.
Wake up at 5, leave at 5:30, work until about 4-5, and drive home for 2 hours. I usually get home at 6:30.

I dont work weekends, but somehow find myself with NO time to do anything I want. I guess I have time, but its spent on being with my girlfriend

and i only have classes tuesday / thursday too.
even though i'm taking hard classes, i'll probably have around 50 hours of free time this week.

not a lot...

I work at least 42 hrs a week with my regular job and I work about 35hrs/week on my second job.

It's 7am-3pm at the desk job then 3:30pm-10pm at the gas station.

only been doing it for a week, but my summer is shot to hell now. oh well, i got debts to pay and money to save.

i'm in college and have loads of free time - and i know it'll be coming to an end shortly - ... but as of now i'm ready to welcome the change. I realize i will regret it later, but 'eh - at least i'll be gettin paid $$$$

Not only am I in college, but I don't go to class and generally drop one or two of my three to for classes because I'm going to fail them, and then I fail the ones I kept. So yeah, I have pretty much 24 hours a day to do as I please. Can't keep it up though, I'm gonna have to change my act.

Its easy to get trapped in a rut, I was recently! Everyday spent doing
little but lying around made it that bit harder to get up and be energetic.

I supose my dream profession would have to be something that would blur the lines between business and pleasure

I get a pretty decent amount.

I wake up at 6:30 every day to get ready for work, and I get home at 4:45 or so, but in the summers (busy season at my job) I may not get home until 6 or 7.

After that, the time is mine... the only steady obligation I have is bowling on Tuesdays, but it's a leisurely activity.

I work 40 hours a week. That gives me 5 hours on a workday between work and the time I go to bed, but it doesn't feel like much. I spend it eating dinner, taking a shower, watching TV, posting on the shroomery, and going to the gym a couple nights a week. This has made me appreciate weekends all the more. But at the same time, it's made weekends demanding as well. If I don't go out partying, I feel like the weekend has been a waste. After a full work week, I really need to do some partying to get it out of my system before facing another 40 hours of working for the man.

Give yourself an extra waking hour and invest it in something worthwhile.

You'll feel less of that leaning-towards-the-weekend feeling throughout the week. To each his own though...
