yea just a couple days ago the same thing started happening with me.
im useing explorer as well. about the same time windows media player
fucked up for me too. i cant hear streams, they look like they're
playing fine but i cant hear anything. it plays files on my HD fine
though.

I'm doubting this is gonna make any difference (considering, you seem to be stuck like chuck as it is on this one) BUT here be some new information I just so happened to sumble upon, which, doesn't seem to make a piss of fucken sense

consider the following two screenshots:





and compare those two the the one you took yourself whilst using my account:











...apparently...



it will let *me* preview things on other sites...just not stuff from this one

and it'll let 'other people' see things on this site while using MY account...but again - it won't work if I'm the one using the account



which can mean only ONE thing:



I, myself, have personally been cursed by the shroomerite gods for abusing the post preview feature  :yesnod:

which, naturally, means Ima havta scrounge up some good ol goatse/grannie pics for OTD again
(or...I dunno...maybe find some Mckenna clips for S&P, or Grateful dead for the Pub...or some-thing)

Okay I've set you up with a debugging copy of the script. When you mouse over one of the related threads at the bottom of this page, it should pop up some status information. The first time you mouse over any thread on the list, could you copy it down and give it to me please?

are you referring to the information about when the post was originally created (cause, I did notice that one difference)



or am I overlooking some other uber-debugger power here?  :confused:

Hehe... wtf? No, that's not what I was talking about, there should be a dialog box which pops up with a bunch of cryptic information. It would only appear on the 'related threads' though, I didn't want to totally ruin your browsing experience. But hey, who cares? It's working, that's great.

All I changed was to get rid of the aggressive caching we had in place for Javascript, CSS and images. That's the reason people had to shift-reload so often to get a clean copy. As long as nothing changes on the site, it reduces the number of requests to the server and speeds up browsing. But once things start changing it's more trouble than it's worth. I don't know why that would affect you if you already cleared your cache. But hey, I just work here. Let me know if it breaks again!

shutting down zonealarm is all i could find to werk for me.
i never had a problem before, i see now the preview has a time in it, maybe thats what made the diffrence. was that added recently?
emptied cache, reset defaults tried mozzila, nothing worked till i shut down zone alarm.
