Is there a prog out there that can resize animated gifs w/o losing the animation. A free one preferably.

Yes. You can do it online for free at gifworks. Works great.

I made a thread about this recently.
I noticed by accident really that if you upload a gif to photobucket, click on it to enlarge it, then you'll see a resize option at the top.
Click on that then select 'avatar (100x75)'.
Once i did that i stuck it in a post preview, right clicked and saved it to file.

I had a gif that had 5,642kbs and that resized to 881kbs..

It worked fine like that but then someone messed about with it in photoshop image ready for me, reduced it even more and resized it.

The Gimp is a free Photoshop-like program that is able to crop and resize animated gifs.
