Making a Bong/Hooka (need help)

Okay, I found these bad boys at work the other day in a customer's backyard. I asked her if she wanted em', and she said she didn't know what the hell they were so I paid her like 5$ and took them! I think they are powerline/transformer insulaters (ceramic). I have no clue how to construct a functional bong/hooka. Can anyone devise up any makeshift schematics/ideas for me using these specific materials shown here? Or maybe a URL or do-it-yourself page that has all the dos and don'ts of bong making.

Depending on how old those clear glass ones are you may be able to get some good $$ on ebay for them. I know in my old town there were rows of very old power lines that had those style insulators but they came in a couple colors. My buddy shimmied up one of the poles and grabbed a few and I think he got about $100 for them.

Use your imagination.
I could knock something up from that but it's hard without having the bits there in front of me.

Looking at what you have though i doubt there's that many options..

Try your idea, it might be fuckin awesome... Home made bongs are hit and miss anyway.

basically, i have the imagination, just not the know-how of drill bits, and the physics behind what makes a bong work.

anyone have any good do-it-yourself bong URLs?

Can't help ya on the drill bits,, but a good bong is down to making it air tight.
Even then they're all different.

You need a pipe to fit the clear glass bit going into the water (base),,, then a pipe/hose coming off the base so you can toke it (sorry if that sounds obvious but yea).

If everything fits snug it looks like it'll be sweet.

That bottom pic's deceiving though,,, doesn't look like you have much of a base to play with in the others, looking twice.

Sell the insulators.
Pocket the cash.
Grab a pear.
Take half the core out from the narrow end, slice out a bowl that connects to the core on the inside, and enjoy fruit-flavoured hits. Never done it myself but if you're in need of a device I suppose it would work as good as any.
