I think that's nonsense. Many people are under the impression that they joint the shroomery for asking a question and before they know it

As a member somebody's postcount is significant to me, and as a moderator there's a difference between someone with 1.000 posts and one with 10. Someone with 10 posts is allowed a bit of newbie tial and error, but someone with 1.000 posts has seniority.

Post counts matter.
