But blogs are like some one writing in there "diary" an internet diary if you will. And posting is more like having an conversation with several people, or something like that.

Blogging is not posting on a message board. Its somewhat similar in that you hit POST. But other then that its not the same.

People write poltical blogs, blogs about their lives, science blogs, the list goes on and on. And like I said, 14 year old girls have blogs, retirees, even a few dogs have blogs. But that doesn't make a message board a blog!!
I guess you could call the journal section a blog, but thats about it.
6 to 1 Rahie, looks like you better make a couple of puppets. Cause the court of public opinion isn't agreeing with you so far. :smirk:

The only person who ever saw The Shroomery as a blog was Hitman. Hopefully it will stay that way.

i think it depends on the user... some people use the shroomery specifically (i'm not sure about different forums though) as a sort of blog! there are the grow logs and trip reports as well as the ethno garden posts and journals... come to think about it every section of this forum is an outlet for different creative outlet.

if a user wants to use the forum as a blog he has pretty much all the liberty to do so, the only difference is that he'd have to separate the information to the different forums and there are different rules he has to comply to, but basically he can post whatever media he wants and link to whatever he wants so yeah i'd say it's a sort of blog.

i think i consider my self "blogging" on the shroomery... i share things from my life and put some poetry and thoughts in the journal space. i wrote a few trip reports and put up my garden and grow log... all of which are more then just posts to me, they're well written (at least i try) and are meant to be viewed as a sort of blog entry rather then a simple post.

but i also enjoy posting inane posts and discussing silly issues :shrug:

I beg to differ with your opinion on seeing the Shroomery as a blog. The Shroomery is a community forum where people hang out and converse. Take LNC threads for example. It's basically the HTML equivalent of the IRC chat that goes on.

Blogs are in the format where you post something (news, editorials, journal entries, etc.) and leave. You return at a later time to read comments, reply, or whatever. People do this with forums too, but forums are still not blogs. The only blog parts of the Shroomery would be the news forum and personal journals. And all of the Hitman post history.

Well Rahie, I think we have cleared this one up. I really dont need to make any more points. I have stated what I wanted to state.

But.... one last thing.....

























I should have posted this sooner but from the google image search I HONESTLY got lost in a series of shitty BLOGS, and a few good ones.

Actually I found allot more then simple blogs, I found some mind opening stuff.
And also a bunch of silly crap. I will post some links some day soon.
