Lol I like them..
My haircut (or lack there of) is pretty reminiscent of that era from what Ive heard.
Its a regular crew cut that hasnt seen scissors in over a year..

My fav. 60-70's haircut was like john fogerty's of creedence clearwater revival, real unkempt around the ears. Slicked back hair most likely became popular with the rise in the use of Pomade, a predecessor to today's hair gel. Pomades were once much more popular than they are today. They are associated with the slick men's hairstyles of the early and middle 20th century. Next time you are in a drug store, stop by the hair care aisle and unscrew various jars of pomade, it smells like axel grease, I'm sure the formulation is quite similar. I also think that this product might be responsable for the increase in male pattern baldness in the last century. That and parabens in nearly all haircare products.
