A Drawing while on LSD

I laid down a base drawing the day before, then on Tuesday I took 1 hit of acid and drew in the details.

nice..  its seems like some kind of mythological god.  Not sure how you did that on acid.  My art goes way more primitive when I'm on any sort of drug.  Anyway.. its a sweet looking creature.  Post more if you can.  :smile:

ah i LOVE it!  excellent flow throughout and a good sense of imagination ... i especially love the melting nose/mouth/chin with the spiraling goatee attachment in the top left corner :wink: :laugh:

aside from the water color on the bottom here, I only have one other drawing thus far that is in similar fashion to the one above~ tho it was not done on LSD, but rather on alot of marajuana. here it is.


As far as my process, I have been practicing my skills at "original sroke" Which is (mostly at first) an additive process--- it is where you start with a chaotic LINE rants, putting on your favorate CD helps because you can groove your ass !and! your hand to some good feelings an rythem, and i guess for me, this dance goes on for about an hour or less or untill i feel comfortible and open so i can begin to 'see' things...which inevidibly your sub/consious portraying itself in a visual formation that is particular to your most recent & current emotional psychologically state (wordy but effective)..... so i guess, what I'm saying is, that once you see something.. you just go for it and pray that you have enough motivation to see it through. thank for asking~

and by the way LeegoAlternativo your friend makes quite an impression with that contrast between light an dark, it reminds me of looking under a microscope~

heh~ it was a mix of tool (10,000 days), Tori Amos (live) at manchester apollo, Tabla beat science, Ani Difranco, and to cool the engines i listened to some native american chanting lastly.

That's beautiful work.

This is what I drew in the afterglow of a mushroom trip. Not close to the depth you have in your work tho.

hmmm- this drawing is freeing even though its a painful position for our character here. It is, as I'm reading it, about taking time out of your day to do something for yourself...even if your blind or in pain-struggle is a blessing, it always forges a unique relationship between the artist and the art--- as the drawing itself goes, push those darks in there and you've got more then you think~ ...then again, i wasn't there for your trip, maybe the misty quality describes the experience better.
