which invention would you most like to see?
    #6519229 -

Of all the theoretical inventions out there.. teleporters, time-travel, flying cars, personal space-craft, etc.. If one were to appear right now, which one would you want it to be? and why?

I'd have to say a teleporter... though a flying car would be pretty cool, too.

Right now, I rarely have the time to travel.. don't have a driver's license.. and a lot of people i wish i could see on a regular basis are spread all over the world..

so, a teleporter would be really freaking awesome so i could go grab coffee w/ a friend in canada... beer with a friend North Carolina... smoke a joint with a friend in amsterdam...

and still make it to work on time.

Replicators from Star Trek... Just pre-program them with what you need and "whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrsshhh"... there it is.

It would cripple the economy, but it would be ccol.

I think it'd be cool to have that type of bug thing they put in the guy's head in the Hitchiker's Guide.

Okay, so it's not an invention, but imagine how cool it would be to be able to understand and speak any language, including animals?

I swear, my cat isn't just making sounds.

like my gf said to me the other day, 'the cat is meowing at me like timmy's in the well or something!'

it does seem like they have something to tell us, right?

A machine that makes me invisible.

It would solve all my problems.

*From the Soapbox* Most needed invention? Freedom. I doubt we'll see it in our lifetimes though. :frown:

*otherwise* Holodeck.

I would love the invention of immortality. I would not want to be immortal, but I would love to live on and on in good health for hundreds of years until I decide to call it a day.

I'd like to see a graphics application that directly addresses the needs of screenprinters. I'm tired of getting art that is not set up correctly from people who claim to know what they are doing.

HAHAHAHA... you must be really fed up with "What's a CMYK?" and "Why can't you print my 200x200 RGB jpeg?"

PS - Holodeck is another good one... The star trek guys always seemed to miss the OBVIOUS uses, ie. 20 naked 18-year models programmed for "pleasure".

Some sort of invention that would just let me do whatever I want. Go hiking, smoke pot. That'd be a great invention.

I dunno I guess that invention is called a career and life.

some sort of of warp engine that would allow humans to travel around the galaxy. i guess a teleporter could work for that too though.
