So, who got it?

I had 86 "money" (Can't spell 'rupies', can I?) when I first herded the goats..

Is that a lot? Or normal, or little?

Please share with me/us, your experience of the game.. (?)

I have now played for like 6 hours, and I never been low on money.

Seems I compensate for my real life situation...

86 rupees is ok for the beginning.Once you get farther..start catching the bugs all around hyrule man! that will help you increase the capacity of your wallet.

Great game man.  I'm playing it right now actually.

I rented it for gamecube and it's now 3 days late.  I've put 38 hours on it. 

I'm a Zelda freak and by far...THE BEST ZELDA EVER! 

I'm probably still gonna put another 10-15 hours on it too at least.

The weapons and items you collect in the later dungeons are nothing like the other Zelda games.  A device that link rides!  Another to posess statues and double hookshots...need I say more :wink:

But I mainly wonder if anyone had to go get the money to by a sling shot..

If anyone had to go find money to afford the first bottle, (the oil man), and so on…

Got any experience with that?

I am still “rumpt” to get the boomerang.

Just miss one ape, and cheated to know where to find it…

Hmmm..since i have like 60 hrs in the game its hard for me to remember,but yeah I think you do need money to aquire the slingshot from the fat ladys shop.

Oh yeah..a little heads up for the players that are in the beginning or middle.If you ever see a yellow sparkling blob (chu-chu jelly)...get your bottle ready ASAP to scoop him up!!!! you only see them around 2 or 3 times during the game! It increases all your hearts and gives you temporary attack-UP.

You are just cracking the huge surface of this game.

A link to the past was simply awesome, I thought OOT tied it...but this game blows them both out of the water.  Zelda at it's best.  Just wait and see.  It's 10 times bigger than the previous two.

As for the slingshot.  Yes, you need to collect money for it as you also have to for the bottle.  Just run around chopping grass, looking for secret spots, picking up stones and the sort.  Won't take long to get the money together.

The boomerang is the first real item you collect from a dungeon(first one).

This game is great and all,but I didnt feel a strong bond to the characters or anything like i did with Ocarina of time  :shrug:

nope its not the cave of ordeals where you fight...well I dont want to ruin that for you guys.

Once you get to the fishing shack,go into the shack and play the mini rollgoal game.I shit you not...you will tear your hair off! I have yet to finish that crap.

Yeah, but I mean, that was Zelda for the first time in 3d and we were younger.  I was so sucked into OOT, but this game is clearly better in my opinon on so many levels and in so many different ways.  I'm sure if they were released in a visa versa matter(being TP coming out in 98 or whatever it was), you'd say the same about OOT.  Even in the reviews it's praised how Nintendo took the cinematics and story to a higher level.  They aren't just using the typical "hero saves princess from ganadorf" story approach and using the awesome gameplay to push the game onward.  Instead, you have the stellar gameplay with an intriguing, slightly more mature toned story and cinematics.

Way more dungeons, much more complex, way more items and really cool times.

I dunno, I'm obsessed with zelda and I can't see where this game doesn't beat any zelda game before it(besides having some crappy midi samples for sound and music). :smile:

haha actually, I found it a little frustrating, but took me about 30 minutes to get through. The frog lure is sweet

Also got the sinking lure.
