It is just a movie. Just accept it. I am sure that it makes allot of people feel gratification just from watching him do that. It adds to the movie.

I felt gratification after Eric Cartman had Scott Tennormans parents killed, ground up into chili, and then fed to him. I thought that was the best episode ever!!

It was definitely not necessary, but it gets the point across sort of over dramatically. It is more humorous then necessary.
