Nope, they dont play dvds unfortunately. Don't let that keep you from getting one though, theyre fun as hell. You can get just a dvd player for pretty cheap these days too, less than $40

Hella Tight have you played Excite Truck, its so much fun. So is Twilight Princess, theyre both really good games

on the top...theres a flap that you can move...it has 4 gamecube controller ports

theres a door on the top/side that opens and has places for you to plug them in
