You need to shift-reload to update your cache. Specifically you need a new copy of showflat.js. You might just be able to click on that link to update your cached copy. Otherwise yeah, go to a thread with a poll, hold shift and reload, then try voting again.

still cant get it to work, i even downloaded that showflat.js

my page wont refresh while im holding shift, unless i click it on the toolbar.. even when i do that, its not working.

What browser do you use again? I still think it's probably on your end, but I can try to narrow it down. What I need is any Javascript errors you're getting when you try to submit a poll vote.

In Firefox, go to Tools | Error Console and make sure only the 'Errors' button is selected.

In IE, look for the little yellow exclamation mark in the lower left and double-click on it to get the error details.

Hopefully with that info I can figure out where it's getting stuck and maybe come up with a fix.

the error message im getting reads: "XMLHttpRequest" is undefined"

Well shit, even after all these years I'm still fucking up IE compatibility hehe.

Sorry, it was my mistake and would have affected anyone using IE. Thanks for getting me to take another look at it. :smile: Once you get a clean copy of the .js, it should work now.

It's still the favorite browser of the Shroomery, accounting for 46.6% of total visits.

Firefox is up to 44.5% though. That's quite an accomplishment for a non tech-related site like the Shroomery. Looks like 2007 may be the year of open source!
