Do not believe anyone that lsd is stored in your spine or that spine injuries can induce flashbacks, or that cracking your back can release latent LSD.

LSD cannot survive in your body, thats why your trip goes away. LSD is water soluble and heat sensitive and your body is a hot, wet place. Your body constantly changes out the water in system every day(why do you think you pee 3 times a day?).

There is a urine test for LSD, but its only good for a few days after the trip and is very expensive.

A spinal tap isn't a major surgery. I have gotten a spinal tap an it is nothing more than getting a big ass needle sucking fluid from your spine. It is all done while you are awake and takes less than 3 minutes. No surgery. Exensive, Yes.

EDIT:
But I agree with above. I don't think LSD is in your spine because I had a toxicology report done when I had my spinal tap and they didn't find LSD. The were testing for all impurities in my spinal fluid. This was a non-drug related incident BTW. So who knows?

it's NOT illegal to be high!! yes, they could get you for public intoxication, but if you're acting somewhat normal they wont.

sounds to me like your head's been filled with too much of that DARE crap. an urban myth is just that, a myth, with no factual basis.

LSD-25 was first synthesized in 1938, and began to be used as test drug in 1943, LSD is over 60yrs old. LSD is metabolized, just like every other chemical you put in your body, and then you excrete the metalbolite. The LSD metalbolites are non-active, so they could never cause a flashback. LSD is also one of THE MOST STUDIED substances in the world. they don't do spinal taps, and never have for LSD testing. Brain damage does not occur after LSD use. Being "perma-fried" or having "flashbacks" is a purely pyschiatric occurence.

These occurances having nothing to do with physical reaction of the drug itself, but rather the pyschological state in to which these drugs cause.

to the original poster, I know it's illegal to be intoxicated in public, but I don't know hard they really try to enforce that law. i think as long as your keeping cool, prolly no one would bother you.
